Composition

Each g of product contains Tilosin tartrate 600 mg

Indications

Swine

In the treatment of dysentery and enzootic pneumonia.

Broilers

In the treatment of avian mycoplasmosis and necrotic enteritis determined by germs susceptible to tylosin.

Contraindications

Do not administer in case of known hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Target Species

Swine and broilers

Dosage for Each Species, Route(s) of Administration and Method of Administration

The treatment consists in administering the product SINTIL 60 %, orally, in the drinking water, individually or mass, for 5 consecutive days, in different doses, depending on the species, age, body weight, physiological status and health status.

For the mass treatment, we recommend the correct calculation of the body weight and of the quantity of product to be administered.

In swine

It must be ensured a dose of 10 to 20 mg a.s. /kg l.w. /day, respectively 17-34 mg of SINTIL 60% / kg l.w. /day, for 5 days. Weight category: 10-20 kg; Daily water intake: 1-2 L; SINTIL 60% (g/1000 liters of water): 350 g. Weight category: 21-40 kg; Daily water intake: 2-4 L; SINTIL 60% (g/1000 liters of water): 350 g. Weight category: 41-60 kg; Daily water intake: 4-5 L; SINTIL 60% (g/1000 liters of water): 390 g. Weight category: 61-80 kg; Daily water intake: 5-6 L; SINTIL 60% (g/1000 liters of water): 445 g. Weight category: 81-100 kg; Daily water intake: 6-7 L; SINTIL 60% (g/1000 liters of water): 485 g. Weight category: Sows and gilts before and after freshening; Daily water intake: 7-8 L; SINTIL 60% (g/1000 liters of water): 610 g. It must be ensured a dose of 50 - 100 mg a.s. /kg l.w. /day, respectively 84-168 mg of SINTIL 60 % /kg l.w. /day, for 5 days. Age category: Broiler 0 to 14 days; SINTIL 60% (g/1000 liters of water): 500 g. Age category: Broiler 15 to 28 days; SINTIL 60% (g/1000 liters of water): 980 g. Age category: Broiler 29 to 35 days; SINTIL 60% (g/1000 liters of water): 1200 g.

Recommendations for Proper Administration

The consumption of medicated water by the animal may be affected due to the disease.

In case of insufficient water consumption, the treatment plan shall be reviewed.

The medicated drinking water should be freshly prepared, every 24 hours.

In order to ensure a correct dosage, body weight of the animals should be determined accurately, whenever possible, to avoid underdosage.

Waiting Time

Meat and organs

Swine: 1 day.

Broilers: 5 days.

Not to be used in poultry producing eggs for human consumption.

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Do not store at temperatures exceeding 25°C.

Special Precautions for Use in Animals

Use of the product should be based on testing the susceptibility of bacteria isolated from animals.

If this is not possible, therapy should be based on local epidemiological information concerning the susceptibility of the target bacteria.

Special Precautions for the Personnel Administering the Product

Tylosin may cause eye and respiratory tract irritation in case of inhalation or contact.

Appropriate measures for protection must be taken during administration.

The personnel administering the product must wear safety goggles and face mask.

In case of eye contact, please wash with plenty of water.

Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling the product.

In case of accidental ingestion, please seek medical assistance and show him the product prospectus.

Use during the Period of Gestation, Lactation or Period of Laying

Do not use in poultry producing eggs for human consumption.

The studies carried on laboratory animals have shown no embryotoxic or teratogenic potential.

Product safety has not been demonstrated during the gestation and lactation period.

Product use during the gestation and lactation period is made after assessment of the risk-benefit balance by the veterinary physician.

The recommended doses must be complied with.

Incompatibilities

Absorption of the active substance is reduced by iron and acids containing calcium and / or magnesium.

Special Precautions for Disposing of the Unused Product or Waste Materials, as Applicable

The medicines must not be disposed of in waste waters or household waste.

Ask the veterinary physician information relating to the disposal of the medicinal products no longer required.

These measures contribute to the protection of the environment.

The product should not be discharged into watercourses, because of the risk for fish and other aquatic organisms.

Treated animals shall be maintained in shelters throughout the treatment, and manure from them shall be collected and shall NOT be used for soil fertilization.
