Veterinary vaccines

The vaccine contains A. pleuropneumoniae, P. multocida, B. bronchiseptica bacterial antigens and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae Apx I, Apx II and Apx III toxoids. Following parenteral administration, these antigens induce production of specific antibodies that protect the organism against actinobacillus pleuropneumonia and also provide protection against most frequent secondary bacterial pneumonic pathogens that aggravate clinical course of the disease.

Newborn piglets from vaccinated sows receive passive protection against pneumonia by colostral immunity for 14 – 21 days.

Vaccinated piglets become actively immune in 14 days after revaccination, which lasts for 6 months. The vaccine contains inactivated bacteria and toxins that gradually absorb from the site of application.

Existing acute or febrile illness.
